Ships We Cater

5 Years of excellence in Bunkering

Tanker Ships

Tanker ships are especially designed to transport and store liquids or gasses in bulk. Tanker ships carry crude and products like petrol, gasoline, kerosene, etc. Tankers also carry commodities such as; molasses, wine and vegetable oils. Tanker ships are also classified as per their size; there are Ultra large crude carriers (ULCC) they can carry up to 500,000 Metric tons. There are Very large crude carriers (VLCC) they have carrying capacity of 250,000 Metric tons. Panamax tankers are tankers that can pass through the Panama Canal. The cargo tankers which cannot be classified under this category because of their size are known as the Post-Panamax tankers. Aframax tankers can carry cargo between 80,000-120,000 tonnes. Suezmax tankers are ships that can pass through the Suez canal. We at SPECTRA FUELS fully understand that each ship is unique and has unique bunkering requirements so we handle the fuelling accordingly.

Gas Carriers

SPECTRA FUELS can arrange marine fuels for Gas carriers at worldwide ports. Gas carrier, also known as gas tanker, is a type of ship that is designed to transport liquified chemical gasses in bulk such as; LPG, CNG, LNG, etc. There are majorly five types of gas tankers i.e. chemical tanker, liquified petroleum gas tanker, liquified natural gas tanker, compressed natural gas tanker, floating production storage and offloading vessels. Cargoes carried on gas carriers are LPG, LNG, Butadiene, Ethylene, Propylene, Ammonia, Vinyl Chloride, Ethylene oxide, Propylene oxide, Chlorine, etc. Gas carriers can be of following types, fully pressurised gas carrier, semi-pressurised gas ships, Ethylene and gas/chemical carriers, full refrigerated ships, LNG carriers. The ports to which gas carriers call are generally fixed for a period of time, which leaves the vessel owner/operator/charterers with limited bunkering options, SPECTRA FUELS understands this fact and can work on marine fuel requirements of Gas carriers accordingly.

Bulk Carriers

A bulk carrier also known as bulker is a merchant ship especially designed to transport unpackaged bulk cargo such as; steel coils, coal, ore, grains, cement, etc. Bulkers can be classified into six major categories as per their size: small, handysize, handymax, very large, capesize and panamax size. Today,  bulk carriers make up more than 21% of the total world’s merchant fleets. We at Spectra Fuels, take proper care as various crews are involved in operation, maintenance, and management of the vessel. We also take care of safety, navigation and cargo care within the assistance of international maritime legislation. The ports to which bulk carrier’s call are generally not fixed and hence it becomes difficult for the bulk ship owner/operator/charterer to plan bunkering, We at SPECTRA FUELS understand this and other challenges and we are fully equipped to present the spectrum of options to the buyer considering all the facts.

Container ships

SPECTRA FUELS can arrange marine fuels for container ships at worldwide ports. A container ship also known as a boxship is a cargo ship used to transport heavy duty shipments. Container ship capacity is measured in Twenty foot equivalent (TEU) units. There are small feeder vessels with capacity of upto 1000 TEU’s and biggest ships with capacity of more than 20000 TEU’s. Approximately 90% of the non-bulk cargo worldwide is carried by container ships. As the container ship owner/operator/charterers are facing cut throat competition it has become very important for the bunker buyer to make the optimum purchase decision in a short time. SPECTRA FUELS can work actively with the bunker buyer to finalize the right alternative.

Car carriers

SPECTRA FUELS can arrange marine fuels for Car carriers at worldwide ports. A car carrier is a type of vessel that is basically designed to transport cars or a combination of cars, buses, trucks and any other kind of vehicle. The size of a Car Carrier is determined by the number of vehicles they can carry. The maximum load that is transited by these vessels is between 20,000 to over 50,000 dead weight tonnes (DWT).

Cruise Ships

SPECTRA FUELS can arrange marine fuels for Cruise ships at worldwide ports. Cruise ships are basically large passenger ships that are mainly used for vacationing and trips. Unlike ocean liners that are particularly used for transport, cruise ships basically embark on round trip voyages to various ports-of-call, where passengers may go on tour known as “shore excursions”. Transportation is not the only purpose of cruising, particularly on cruises that return passengers to their originating port (also known as a closed-loop cruise), with the ports of call usually in a specified region of a continent. Cruise ships have larger capacities for fuels and sometimes port stay is not sufficient to supply the required quantity of fuel. We at SPECTRA FUELS understand this and other challenges associated with bunkering cruise ships and can offer the best solution for Cruise vessel bunkering.

Offshore

SPECTRA FUELS can arrange marine fuels for offshore ships at worldwide ports. Offshore vessels are ships that are particularly designed to fulfill operational purposes such as oil exploration and construction work at the high seas. Anchor Handling Tug Vessels, Seismic Vessels, Platform Supply Vessels, Well Intervention Vessels and Accomodation Ships.

Dredgers

SPECTRA FUELS can arrange marine fuels for Dredgers at worldwide ports. Dredging is an excavation activity usually carried out underwater to keep waterways navigable, to replenish sand on beaches, for land reclamation and other purposes. Dredgers may be broadly classified into three main groups depending upon the method used to transport loosened material from the sea-bed to the water surface. These are Mechanical dredgers, Hydraulic dredgers and others. Types of dredgers are bucket dredgers, Augur suction dredgers, cutter suction dredgers, Amphibious dredger, Plough or bed-leveler, water injection dredgers.

Naval Ships

SPECTRA FUELS can arrange marine fuels for Naval ships at worldwide ports. A naval ship is a military ship that is being used by a navy and is differentiated from civilian ships by construction and purpose. A naval ship is generally divided into seven main categories i.e., aircraft carriers, cruisers, destroyers, frigates, corvettes, submarines  and assault ships. We at SPECTRA FUELS are able to arrange all kinds of fuels required by naval ships such as; aviation gasoline, jet propulsion fuel (JP-51), Navy distillate, Navy special fuel oil, and diesel fuel marine.

Tugs

SPECTRA FUELS can arrange marine fuels for Tugs at worldwide ports. A tugboat or tug is a marine vessel that maneuvers other vessels by pushing or pulling them, with tow line or a direct contact. Such boats primarily tug ships in situations where they cannot move under their own power and capabilities.

Other Special ships

SPECTRA FUELS can arrange marine fuels for Special ships at worldwide ports. There are Cable layers, Heavy lift, Icebreakers, Reefer, Livestock carriers, Fishing vessels and many other special ships having unique fuelling requirements. SPECTRA FUELS can arrange bunkers at worldwide ports considering these specific requirements.
